These terms are the agreement between you and Reply200 Inc. for using Bewary. We have kept them plain. By using Bewary, you agree to them.
Read this first. Bewary gives you a fast, informed opinion on whether something looks like a scam. It is a decision aid, not a guarantee. No tool can catch every scam or clear every safe message. Always use your own judgment, especially around money.
The service
Bewary analyzes text, links, phone numbers, and images you submit and returns a verdict, a reason, and what to do next. It can monitor your email addresses and phone numbers for appearances in known data breaches and alert you. On iPhone it can filter suspected scam texts and label calls that the community has reported as bad. Bewary labels and informs. It does not automatically block your calls, because wrongly blocking a real call is worse than a label you can ignore.
Not professional advice, and not a guarantee
Verdicts are automated assessments and can be wrong in both directions. A "safe" result is not a promise that something is safe, and a "scam" result is not a legal accusation. Bewary is not legal, financial, or security advice. You are responsible for your own decisions, including any decision to send money, share information, or trust a contact.
Your account
Bewary Web uses passwordless sign-in. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read your inbox can sign in. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@bewary.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
Subscriptions and billing
Bewary Web is billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout (currently 19.99 USD per year). It renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
The iPhone app offers Bewary Protect as a monthly or annual subscription purchased through Apple. Those purchases are billed by Apple, governed by Apple's standard terms, and managed in your Apple account settings. Cancellations and refunds for app subscriptions are handled by Apple.
There is no free trial. The free tier is the trial: you get a set number of free checks and one watched email and phone before any payment. We may change prices, and if we do we will give notice before your next renewal. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments for the current period are non-refundable, but you keep access until that period ends.
Acceptable use
Use Bewary for your own protection and the people you care about. You agree not to:
- Abuse, overload, scrape, or run automated bulk queries against the service
- Resell or redistribute access without our written permission
- Reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the service or its security
- Use Bewary to harass, surveil, or harm anyone, or to break any law
We may meter, rate limit, suspend, or terminate access that breaks these rules or threatens the service for others.
Intellectual property
Bewary, its name, design, and software are owned by Reply200 Inc. and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service as intended. Everything you submit remains yours; you grant us only the permission needed to process it and run the service.
Disclaimers
Bewary is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that every verdict will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Reply200 Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a decision you made using Bewary. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to cover us against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
Termination
You can stop using Bewary and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after termination.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date above and, for account holders, notify you by email. Continuing to use Bewary after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
